We've never had a piper perform before and we're honoured to have such a well respected piper and soldier come and play for us on this very special occasion. We'll be reciting Burns poems throughout the day and we'll have the nursery decorated accordingly. The children are all very excited about the day and are looking forward to their haggis, neeps and tatties, as well as hearing the pipe music.. ."Additionally, one of the Performing Arts students at Edinburgh's Telford College has agreed to give the Address to a Haggis, something the children won't have heard before, but something that will give the occasion a real Burns feel.". .Corporal Andy Reid, stated: "I've been in the Army for nearly ten years and I can say without doubt, this is one of the toughest challenges I've had to face. I've been on tours with 4 SCOTS to Bosnia, Iraq and most recently to Afghanistan and nothing can prepare me for what I'm about to do at the Waterfront Nursery. Joking aside, I'm delighted to have been asked to perform at the Nursery to hopefully give the children a day they'll remember and in a first, it's definitely the youngest audience I've ever played in front of.".Pi
