Scots Guardsman Paul McGee, 28, from Lochwinnoch: a 28-year-old man has been arrested after a McGee who was decorated for bravery in Iraq was fatally stabbed in Renfrewshire. McGee was found seriously injured in the town's McConnell Road. He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley but died a short time later.  McGee had been working in an army recruiting office in Scotland at the time of his death. He was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Bravery in July 2008 after risking his life trying to save fellow Guardsman Stephen Ferguson while on a tour of duty in Iraq.
