Edinburgh ignores Buy Nothing Day

Edinburgh ignores Saturday November 24th 2012: Buy Nothing Day (UK). It was supposed to be a day where you challenge yourself, your family and friends to switch off from shopping and tune into life. The rules are simple, for 24 hours you will detox from shopping and anyone can take part provided they spend a day without spending!
It is championed by Edinburgh singing group Protest in Harmony. They meet to sing songs of peace, justice, the environment and human rights on Princes Street in Edinburgh. However shoppers chose to ignore the plea. Picture: Pavol Mraz/Universal News And Sport (Scotland).24/11/ 2012.
